Redmond was part of a 'blue chip' consortium with Budimex SA, the leading Polish construction company, in a public-private partnership (“PPP”) tender procedure. The tender was initiated by the Wroclaw Opera to expand the existing Opera building in return for a grant of land for hotel usage. The Opera's requirements regarding new orchestra training halls, ensemble training/warm-up rooms and other facilities requires significant technical experience. Redmond and Budimex prepared the PPP procedure bid. Redmond attached a HNWI investor, architects and leading hotel brand to the project. Submissions were made concerning design, cost and appearance of the Opera expansion as well as the hotel building. The hotel was to be 4 star “but with a 5 star feel” in keeping with the elegance and style of the Wroclaw Opera's performances and events. The PPP tender is currently on hold pending government approval.
